Happy Skagit County Meals on Wheels Recipients

Haggen® and Skagit County Meals on Wheels in Partnership to End Hunger!

In 2021, the Skagit County Meals on Wheels Program was one of twenty-three local organizations selected by Haggen® to benefit from their Heroes Against Hunger campaign.

Haggen guests were invited to donate to the Heroes Against Hunger Fundraising Campaign by using the pin-pad at checkout at the Mount Vernon and Burlington Haggen locations.

In 2021, Skagit County Raised $13,000!

We are excited to announce that the Meals on Wheels program has been selected again to participate in 2022!

This year’s campaign will run from August 31st until October 25th, 2022. More information to come…

Currently, the program can respond almost immediately to the nutrition needs of our Skagit County senior population.

That said, operating at this level of demand has put significant financial stress on the program. Our goal is to continue meeting the needs of our local seniors and avoid any delays due to waitlists or altered meal availability.

“Volunteers are worth more than any physical wealth, gold, silver, or even diamonds. They bring our meals with a smile and good cheer which starts the day off and with a hot meal also. They are indeed priceless. Thank you for all that you do.”
